It is one of the best memories I have from my stay in Denmark.

It was May. Me and three friends decided to go biking till a cliffs in northern Odense to see the sunrise.

In Spring, dawn begins around half past three in the morning.

We left our dormitory at midnight and  biked along 40 km. Keeping a good rate it took us about 2 hours 15 minutes to arrive at the cliffs.  The curious thing was that it never was completely dark, there always was light in the horizon. We pass through several small villages, pretty nice, I must say. Although it was a bit creepy because there was nobody anywhere and we crossed  with no car during the trip. I suppose, everybody was in home sleeping.

Already there, we had to leave our bikes on the grass and keep on walking 1 km more. In the cliff  was a bench to sit on.As time passed, we amused telling stories, joking and talking about ourselves. At 4 am, the sky was lit but there was no sign of the sun. We asked each other what was happening and where the sun was. After a few minutes, we were able to distinguish a red line over the sea. That line went up and up and started taking circular shape . It was, it was the sun. It showed up as a red and bright ball in the horizon.

That was the most amazing image I have ever seen. A scenery full of colours in both sea and sky with the sun in the middle like the most precious jewel in the world.
